The Normal Standards of Newborn

The most urgent thing which parents want to know is that whether the baby in normal health when a child is born. So what is the normal standards to determine a newborn? We also determine the newborn from the following standards:

The Normal Standards of Newborn

(1) Respire: As we know, the newborns with few crying sound firstly after born, and then began to lung breathing. The rat of respiration (when resting) was 40 per minute to 50 times during the first two weeks after born. It is abnormal if the respiration is more than 60 times.
(2) Pulse: neonatal baby’s pulse is fast, the pulse was 120 per minute ~ 140 times when resting, but if more than 160 times is abnormal for a newborn.
(3) Body Temperature: Normal body temperature of newborn is 36 ~ 37.5 ℃, lower than 35.5 ℃ or higher than 37.5 ℃ are also the abnormal.
(4) Weight: normal birth weight is 3000 to 4000 grams. Such as less than 2500 grams, then the newborn should be taken care of as a immature baby.
(5) Excrete: 1 to 2 days after birth, the infant’s stool with a dark green color, thick and tasteless, which is called meconium. The baby’s stool start to turn into a yellow or golden (breastfeeding) or yellow (milk feeding) after feeding. Color is not normal or not excrete during 24 hours is abnormal.
