Three Key Period Prevention of Childhood Obesity

Prevention of childhood obesity from the start of the fetus, it is better effect to take measures in a good age of the obese (infants, 5-8-year-old and teenagers).
The past 25 years, the obesity and overweight children has doubled in global, and have a related with the over feeding of parents. Many parents believe that kids get fat feed, is capable of the performance and this is a sense of accomplishment. In fact, feeding a fat kids in love, will bring a lot of health risks for children.
Obese will effect the children in many parts of growth and development including mental development, behavior and other adverse psychological impact on the current and future. Such as quality of life, study and work ability, health and other damage, and even shorten life expectancy. It is very difficult to treat childhood obesity, because children are lack of the motivation to lose weight. And it is difficult to keep to eat less and move more to loss weight enduringly. Therefore, it is very important to prevent the childhood obesity. Prevention of childhood obesity from the start of the fetus to all of their life. It is better effect to take measures in a good age of the obese (infants, 5-8-year-old and teenagers).

Three Key Period Prevention of Childhood Obesity

Fetal Period – prevent fetus overweight
It is necessary to prevent newborn overweight in the fetal period. The pregnant women needs more nutrition during pregnancy, but it is not the better for pregnant women to overtake more nutrition. If pregnant women gain weight too quickly, it will lead to fetal birth overweight often. And it will greatly increase the probability of obesity of children in the future. Therefore, it is first to  test pregnant weight frequently whether the physical laws of normal pregnancy. In the begaining 3 months, the weight of pregnant women will increased from 1.5 to 3 kg normally. Then the weight will increase 400 grams weekly. The full-term pregnancy's weight did not increase more than 12.5 kg finally. Second, pregnant women should be adjusted according to weight gain calorie intake. Third, pregnant women should ensure the appropriate activity, such as walking, light physical activities.

Infancy - to encourage breastfeeding
Breast milk is the best food for baby. Studies show that breastfed infants occurred  the risk of obesity was significantly lower than artificial feeding children after many years. And the longer breastfeeding, the lower occurred the probability of obesit. The reason may be that breastfeeding children can better control the intake of each meal and the interval of time, that will avoid excessive calorie intake. The artificial feeding often over-feed condition exists, causing a child eating too much, cause obesity.

Period of children and teenagers - a balanced diet + regular exercise + test weight
It is will benefit the children's all life if develop good eating and exercise habits from the younger age.
First, parents should bring their children up to control calorie intake. Parents only need to provide a variety of food, the children decide how much to eat. In daily life, parents should lead their kids develop good eating habits as a example through the words and deeds.
Second, by increasing the activity to increase energy consumption is an important measure to prevent obesity. Even in infancy, children do not always hold in your hand, and to help children stand up, do some passive exercise, to start training a child in the adult legs automatically jump, sitting alone, crawling, walking and other help from 5 to 6 months. In early childhood, should allow more children to be independent walking, running, jumping, playing games. In the school age and adolescence, let the child do 30-60 minutes physical activity daily.
In addition, we should help children to test weight regularly. If you find the child's weight increase, pay attention to this and take step to adjust the overweight.
